Mr. Bizick is Chief Executive Officer, Co-founder and a Director of Tarpon Towers, LLC (“Tarpon”) based in Bradenton, Florida. Founded in 2008, Tarpon develops and acquires wireless communications sites.
Prior to forming Tarpon, Mr. Bizick was Executive Vice President and Chief Operating Officer of Global Signal, Inc., a former NYSE company which was acquired by Crown Castle International in 2007. From November 2003 until June 2006, Mr. Bizick was responsible for all day-to-day operations and corporate development. During his tenure, Global Signal completed a successful IPO and follow-on offering, acquired nearly $2 billion in tower assets, raised over $2.2 billion in mortgage backed securitizations and tripled the size of its portfolio from 3,500 to over 11,000 owned and managed communication sites.
Prior to Global Signal, Mr. Bizick was Executive Vice President and Chief Operating Officer of SBA Communications, a NASDAQ company, where he was responsible for all operations and sales. Mr. Bizick was a member of management at SBA at its inception in 1990 and spent 12 years helping grow the company from a start-up to a nationwide public company. SBA was the first company to successfully contract with carriers for Build to Suit towers. While at SBA, Mr. Bizick also held the offices of Executive Vice President of Sales and Marketing and Executive Vice President of Operations.
Mr. Bizick holds a BA in Business and Communications from the University of Pittsburgh and has completed continuing executive education at Harvard Business School and The Wharton School of Business.
